Young fast bowler Prince Yadav had a memorable day on the field, as he scripted Lucknow Super Giants' narrow win over the formidable Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
One of the West Indies' legendary cricketers predicted his Team India debut following Prince Yadav's sublime spell against RCB.
The right-arm fast bowler got the prized scalps of Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal and Jitesh Sharma, helping the hosts secure their third victory of the season.

After winning the toss, RCB captain Rajat Patidar elected to bowl first at the Ekana Stadium. The Super Giants' opening pair of Mitchell Marsh and Arshin Kulkarni stitched a scintillating stand of 95 runs.
Riding on Marsh's breathtaking century and valuable contributions from Nicholas Pooran and Rishabh Pant, the Super Giants posted a defendable total of 209 runs in the rain-affected encounter.

He further went on to dismiss the well-set Devdutt Padikkal and keeper-batter Jitesh Sharma, leaving RCB in disarray. He finished his spell with magical figures of three for 33 in four overs, grabbing the attention of cricket pundits.

Prince Yadav has been outstanding with the ball in IPL 2026. He has bagged 16 wickets in 10 matches at a superb strike rate of 13.
Yadav's exceptional performance against RCB not only scripted LSG's valiant win but also earned him massive applause from West Indies great Ian Bishop.
Amid the high-voltage LSG vs RCB game, Ian Bishop took to his official handle on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), lavishing praise on the young fast bowler.
Bishop reckoned Prince Yadav's maturity, game awareness and fielding skills make him a strong contender to make it into the Indian T20I squad whenever the Men in Blue play next.
"However the rest of the season goes, I can see Prince Yadav in the next T20I squad. He can bowl across all phases. He has a great feel for when to bowl what at each stage of an over and the innings. He is a solid fielder and catcher," Ian Bishop posted on X.
Will Prince Yadav be picked in India T20I squad for the UK tour?
After the conclusion of the IPL 2026, the Indian team will travel to the UK for multi-format series against England and Ireland.
Prince Yadav could earn his maiden call-up for those assignments, considering the BCCI selection committee might rest Jasprit Bumrah to manage his workload.
With Arshdeep Singh failing to live up to the expectations and Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna blowing hot and cold, the Indian team might give Prince a chance to showcase his mettle at the highest level.
