Prince Yadav's no ball spoiled his maiden ODI wicket [Source: X]
Young fast bowler Prince Yadav received his maiden ODI cap for the second match between India and Afghanistan. The high-voltage game witnessed India's prolific success with the bat, as the hosts joined South Africa as the team with the most 400-plus totals in ODI history.
After a commendable batting effort, India introduced Prince Yadav to bowl the second over during Afghanistan's run chase.
Although he went for 18 runs in his first two overs, Prince finally struck with the ball only to see a no-ball ruin his maiden wicket in the format.
Prince Yadav celebrates after dismissing Rahmanullah Gurbaz
Despite conceding 18 runs in his first two overs, Prince Yadav received strong backing from the Indian think tank, which brought him for another over against the in-form Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
The right-arm pacer kept things tight and conceded only three runs off his first four deliveries, eventually getting rid of Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
Prince bowled a short ball outside the off-stump, as Gurbaz perished while trying to clear the infield with an audacious aerial shot. However, the Afghanistan batter miscued the lofted shot, with Arshdeep Singh taking a simple catch at mid-on.
Gurbaz's dismissal marked Prince Yadav's maiden ODI wicket, as the LSG fast bowler started celebrating with his Team India colleagues.

However, Prince Yadav's joy proved to be short-lived, with his delivery eventually turning out to be a no ball. As soon as the on-field umpire declared it a no ball, Prince was visibly upset upon losing out on a well-deserved maiden ODI wicket due to his casual error.
The replay showed that Prince Yadav's first point of landing was right on the crease, and no part of his front leg was inside the popping crease at the non-striker's end.
Prince was left dejected by those visuals, as the wait continued for the India pacer to add a wicket to his ODI tally.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, on the other hand, was relieved after the umpire called it a no ball. The Afghanistan batter looked up and thanked the almighty for saving him in the do-or-die encounter.
Gurbaz struck a blazing hundred in the Dharamsala ODI, so his wicket held paramount importance for the Indian team. However, fortunately for hosts, the Afghanistan opener couldn't make the most of the lifeline, falling prey to Gurnoor Brar in the very next over.
As he had already raced to 41 off 33 deliveries, Gurbaz's dismissal brought a sigh of relief for Prince Yadav.

Prince returns favour to Arshdeep with an athletic grab
Although Prince Yadav's no-ball prevented him from dismissing Gurbaz, the young pacer helped Arshdeep Singh bag his first wicket of the game later in the match.
Prince, who was fielding in the outfield, took a spectacular catch to dismiss Ibrahim Zadran off Arshdeep Singh's delivery in the 14th over.
As Ibrahim tried to dispatch Arshdeep's short ball into the stands, Prince held on to a magnificent catch near the deep backward square leg fence.
Thus, he returned the favour to Arshdeep, who had caught Gurbaz off his bowling, although his effort went in vain due to the no-ball.
