Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been making headlines for some time now over the conflicts related to issuing the No Objection Certificates (NoCs) to its players to participate in the franchise leagues.

Showrunners of leagues such as Major League Cricket and the Nepal Cricket League have openly mocked the Pakistan board for demanding fees to issue NoCs at the last hour.

Apparently, that was why no player from Pakistan was shortlisted to go under the hammer in the SA20 2027 auctions.

PCB demands $10,000 for NoCs to participate in Abu Dhabi T10

According to renowned Pakistani journalist Aurangzeb Younis, the PCB has demanded a USD 10,000 fee per player to issue a No Objection Certificate for the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 2026.

The likes of Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, Fakhar Zaman, Salman Irshad, Sufyan Moqim, Iftikhar Ahmed, Abbas Afridi and Faheem Ashraf have been contracted across franchises to participate in the Abu Dhabi T10 2026.

Reportedly, the Pakistan board has asked its players to pay the fee out of pocket. The PCB normally allows a player to play in two or three franchise leagues a year, but demanding a fee to issue NoCs is new for Pakistan Cricket.

The league, comprised of six teams, will run between November 07 and November 20 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

PCB threatened CAN with $25,000 fee to issue NoCs

A similar incident occurred earlier, when the PCB threatened the Nepal board with a $25,000 fee for its players to participate in the ongoing edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL 2026).

Reportedly, Pakistan T20I captain Sahibzada Farhan agreed to pay the NoC out of pocket, but because of the standoff between the PCB and CAN, he didn't honour his commitment.

Notably, all Pakistani players were replaced in the NPL 2026. It would be interesting to see whether the Abu Dhabi T10 showrunners can negotiate with the PCB.
