Hardik Pandya was later named in India’s A squad for the one-day series against Australia A in September, subject to fitness clearance. He was expected to return to competitive cricket in October, but another injury affected his plans.
The latest setback also ruled him out of India’s white-ball series against New Zealand, which includes five T20Is and five ODIs.
