Pakistan Cricket is at one of its lowest points, with seven of its players dropped and sent home in the middle of the England tour, including Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, and Salman Ali Agha, who led them in the first Test.
Not just that, the coaches also got a stick, with red-ball head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul getting fired just before the final Test match at Edgbaston Stadium.
Reportedly, mobile phones of Pakistan players were confiscated, hinting at alleged match-fixing demons.
Pakistan team managed misbehaved with Mohammad Rizwan
Just hours prior to the ENG vs PAK 3rd Test, a massive development in the mobile phone saga has come to light, involving Mohammad Rizwan.
According to a senior Pakistani journalist, Amber Ali, Mohammad Rizwan had incidents with the security manager over the mobile phone incident, and later with the team manager, who ‘misbehaved’ with the senior batter.

“Muhammad Rizwan had a heated exchange of an argument with the security manager in London over the mobile phone incident and the manager reportedly misbehaved with the senior cricketer,” the journalist revealed in an X post.
Rizwan has played 47 Test matches for Pakistan, racking up 2682 runs at an average of 37.77, featuring three centuries and 14 half-centuries. It is worth mentioning that he has notched just a solitary Test hundred in the last four years.
PCB begins investigation on Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq
Although nothing official has come out, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has apparently started its investigation into match-fixing and disciplinary ban claims, as stated by Amir Mir, who is a close ally of the PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi.
There are speculations around Imam-ul-Haq facing the axe for allegedly faking his calf injury, because of which he didn’t come out to bat in both innings at Lord’s.
No official word by the Pakistan board has come out on Imam’s case or why the other six players were released from the Test squad. However, reports say Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha were sent home because of disciplinary issues.
PCB brings young blood to avoid whitewash in England
Nevertheless, the PCB added seven players to replace the released players, including Saim Ayub and Abdullah Fazal, the only two among the seven cricketers who have already played Test cricket.
The remaining five players who flew in at the eleventh hour are Arafat Minhas, Mohammad Imran Jnr, Saad Baig, Imran Randhawa and Razaullah. Notably, Ghazi Ghori, another uncapped player, is expected to debut in Birmingham, along with a couple of other more.
Moreover, Mike Hesson will be the interim head coach for the final Test, starting on September 9, with Ashley Noffke joining him in the backroom staff.
Pakistan have already lost the series, trailing England 0-2. So Babar Azam's men will look to avoid a series whitewash.
That said, the Asian Giants have never been whitewashed in England, but the have also never won a Test match at Edgbaston.
