Rizwan represents his departmental side, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, in the competition and has also been part of their training camps and team meetings since returning from England.Additionally, Mohammad Rizwan was set to lead SNGPL in the tournament in Shan Masood's absence. But when it was time to clear the required fitness tests before the season commenced, PCB approached SNGPL and asked them to relieve him of his duties.The national board flagged that the player is under investigation and, until further notice, he cannot participate in the domestic competition. The player was then made aware of the situation and had to leave Islamabad.Having played two matches so far, SNGPL are at the bottom of the points table, with a loss and a draw. Rizwan's absence is clearly being felt by the department.Can Rizwan return to the Pakistan team?Not too long ago, Mohammad Rizwan was in Pakistan's leadership group in white-ball cricket and also led them in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at home.Pakistan cricket has been through constant turbulence over the last few years, which has also affected Rizwan's career.
