Alyssa Healy has recently been in the limelight after taking part in a blind-ranking challenge for Fox Cricket. The former Australia captain was asked to rank five legendary bowlers from no. 1 to no. 5, but there was one major catch, she had to make each decision before knowing which name would appear next.

The game quickly turned funny when her husband, Mitchell Starc, appeared on the list.

Alyssa Healy Names Shane Warne no. 1, But Starc Gets no. 5

The challenge began with Australia spin legend Shane Warne and, Alyssa Healy immediately placed him at no. 1. Next came India ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah. She still had the second, third, fourth and fifth positions available, and she chose no. 3 for the Indian star.

Then came the name, Mitchell Starc with the top two positions still open, but the fifth spot also available, Healy decided to put her husband at no. 5. Once that choice was made, she could not move him later.

Glenn McGrath was then given no. 4, while Pat Cummins took no. 2. That left the final order as Shane Warne at no. 1, Pat Cummins at no. 2, Jasprit Bumrah at no. 3, Glenn McGrath at no. 4 and Starc at no. 5.

Healy quickly realised that the blind format had worked against her. She admitted that she had 'stuffed up', but accepted the result with a laugh.

The Blind Ranking:

  • 1st Place: Shane Warne
  • 2nd Place: Pat Cummins
  • 3rd Place: Jasprit Bumrah
  • 4th Place: Glenn McGrath
  • 5th Place: Mitchell Starc
