PSL 2026 took off from the traditional cricketing grounds to a more fierce battlefield on April 14. The Hyderabad Kingsmen franchise, one of the newest members of the 8-team tournament, visited an indoor shooting range in Sindh, Pakistan.
The captain of Hyderabad Kingsmen, Marnus Labuschagne, an Australian cricketer, was seen armed with a submachine gun, while another foreign star, Riley Meredith, was seen with a pistol.
As the Kingsmen currently stand in sixth place out of eight teams on the PSL 2026 points table, Marnus Labuschagne and the boys were seen having a fun session with the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Labuschagne Fires Guns At Indoor Shooting Range
Ahead of their next clash against the Rawalpindiz, the foreign stars were seen attending an exhibition visit to the Sindh Police SSU Academy in Pakistan.
Pictures of Marnus Labuschagne and Riley Meredith practising range shooting at the indoor academy went viral on Pakistani local media and other social media accounts.
The pictures released showed Labuschagne with a submachine gun, posing alongside other militaries. Another picture showed Riley Meredith practising shooting with a pistol and trained personnel beside him.
Hyderabad Stars Exchange Courtesies With The Army
In another image, Marnus Labuschagne was seen greeting DIG Sindh Police Security & Emergency Services Division Dr Maqsood Ahmed with a special bat bearing the signatures of Hyderabad players.

Pakistan Army and Cricketer Interactions Go A long Way
The involvement of Pakistan stars with the military isn’t something new, though. Earlier, in 2024, the cricketers trained with the army for better physical and mental makeup.
Cricketers like Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Rizwan have also engaged in shooting activities under the guidance of army personnel earlier.
While cricket and the military are both solid aspects of the Pakistani country, the active involvement of players in the army activities speaks of the engaging and interactive side of the protectors of the country.
Hyderabad Kingsmen In PSL 2026 So Far
Under Marnus Labuschagne, Hyderabad Kingsmen haven't been at their very best in their inaugural edition. So far, they have played six matches, winning only two against Islamabad United and the Karachi Kings.
With their next match-up against Rawalpindiz, Kingsmen still have a slight chance of making the playoffs, but their fate also depends on the outcomes of Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings, who are just above them in the standings.
If those teams do not maintain their form, Hyderabad Kingsmen's chances to reach the top four, significantly increases.
Labuschagne Struggling With Strike Rate
Meanwhile, speaking of the captain himself, Marnus Labuschagne has averaged 34.20 in the league while having a moderately low strike rate of 123.02.
His scores in the PSL 2026 reflect mediocrity, yet show consistency with the bat. His scores have ranged in the 20s, with his only notable outing against Islamabad United on April 12 being a 53-ball 61.
