KL Rahul notches up huge IPL record
KL Rahul blasted 75 runs off just 40 balls with six boundaries and five sixes against the Rajasthan Royals in match number 43 of the IPL 2026 season. Through the course of his match-winning knock, Rahul became the first Indian batter to complete 200 sixes in the IPL as an opening batter, reaching the landmark figure even before the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Delhi Capitals pull off its highest successful chase in IPL history
Delhi Capitals franchise chased down 226 runs against the Rajasthan Royals with five balls and seven wickets to spare in Jaipur. With KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka tonking match-winning half-centuries, the Capitals have now registered its highest successful run chase in the history of the tournament.

They bettered their previous effort of chasing down 211 against the LSG in Vizag as it occurred back in IPL 2025 last year.
Harshit Rana and Akash Deep ruled out of UK tour
Indian fast bowlers Harshit Rana and Akash Deep are set to miss India’s upcoming tour of England. Both pacemen are still recovering from their respective injuries. Rana also missed being part of India’s victorious 2026 T20 World Cup winning squad owing to an injury he suffered prior to the tournament.
A BCCI source said that even though the two bowlers are rehabilitating, there is still a long way to go for them to attain full recovery.
Josh Inglis joins, Matthew Breetzke leaves LSG midway into IPL 2026
Josh Inglis has joined the LSG franchise in India for the remainder of the IPL 2026 season. The cricketer was roped by the LSG late last year after getting released by the Punjab Kings.
Meanwhile, LSG’s South Africa import Matthew Breetzke has left the tournament owing to personal reasons. As per reports, he has already returned to South Africa.
CSK issue fresh MS Dhoni update
CSK batting coach Mike Hussey has given an encouraging update regarding the recovery and return of MS Dhoni. Yet to play a single game for the CSK franchise this IPL 2026 season owing to his injury concerns, the cricketer is progressing well and there is also a possibility of him playing his team’s upcoming match against the Mumbai Indians in Chennai on Saturday, May 2.
Dhoni was also spotted padded up during a recent CSK training session, as per a social media update of the franchise.
