India Women stars were among the most notable names who moved up significantly in ICC's latest T20I rankings. In her first year of international career, Nandani Sharma is making a name for herself, alongside the likes of Kranti Gaud, who also jumped up in the rankings.
This is also in the midst of India's ongoing T20I series against Zimbabwe, wherein Sharma has been a standout bowler, helping India clinch the first two matches.
Nandani Sharma headlines latest ranking updates
The 25-year-old pace bowler broke onto the scene with her exceptional WPL 2026 performances in the Delhi Capitals' run to the final. In her first season, she scalped 17 wickets as the joint highest wicket-taker and claimed a 5/33 to get picked in the Indian team.
Since her debut, only Shree Charani (40) and Deepti Sharma (30) have got more wickets in the format. Nandani, with 20 wickets in 16 innings at a good economy rate of 6.64, now ranks 45 in the ICC rankings, jumping up 26 spots.
Kranti Gaud, who has 2 wickets in 2 matches against Zimbabwe in the ongoing series, gained 9 ranks and moved up to 43. Alana King faced the biggest drop-off from the last update and went from 63 to 68.
Sree Charani; Smriti Mandhana and Beth Mooney remain at top
In the bowling ranking updates, Indian left-arm orthodox bowler N Sree Charani, thanks to her consistency and x-factor, remains the world number 1 bowler. Similar is the case with Australia's Beth Mooney, who is the number 1 batter in the world.
Among others, those who have managed to stay at their positions are Deepti Sharma (number 2 bowler), Shafali Verma, and Smriti Mandhana as number 4 and 5 batters. South Africa's Laura Wolvaardt moved up to world number 2 T20I bat, toppling Georgia Voll.
In the all-rounder rankings, Deepti (number 4) remains the only Indian in the top 10. Kathryn Bryce from Scotland has broken into the top-10, while others have kept their rankings intact at the top.
