The first Test match between Pakistan and England has been stopped because of heavy rain in Leeds. The two teams locked horns for the first of the three-match Test series at Headingley, and the match got halted after an hour’s play in the first session.
England won the toss and opted to field first. Pakistan, batting first, lost two early wickets, but the umpires called for covers in the 10th over of the match when rain stopped play. A dark cloud hovered over Headingley stadium since the match started and eventually it resulted in heavy downpour.

As per accuweather, there is 52% cloud cover and there is also a yellow warning for thunderstorm. At present, the rain won't last for long and the play will resume shortly. However, there is heavy rain and thunderstorm predicted later in the day.
The rain delay will further help the bowlers, who are already getting the movement from the surface. Notably, rain is expected to last around 1 hour and Day 1 is expected to offer a start-stop play.
