India were at 475/8 when rain arrived, leaving the ground staff with little time to cover the entire field. The rain arrived around on IND vs SL Day 2 as dark clouds gathered over the Colombo ground before rain interrupted the play.
The ground staff quickly rushed onto the field and covered the playing area, the pitch and outfield before the rain became heavier.
