At this stage, only four teams can reach 18 points. Securing victory over CSK would officially guarantee Gujarat Titans a spot in the IPL 2026 playoffs, giving them momentum and confidence heading into the crucial knockout stage of the tournament.
How Gujarat Titans Will Qualify for IPL 2026 Playoffs If They Lose Their Last Match Against CSK
Gujarat Titans can qualify easily for the IPL 2026 playoffs with a win in their last match against CSK. However, if they fail to beat CSK in Ahmedabad, Shubman Gill and his men will need other teams’ results to go their way to remain in the top four at the end of the league stage.
If Gujarat Titans lose to CSK, they will end the league stage with 16 points. With RCB already at 16 points with a good NRR and four other teams in contention, GT’s IPL 2026 playoff qualification would depend on the following key results going their way.
- Gujarat Titans would need Sunrisers Hyderabad to lose one of their last two matches and that also badly, or

- Rajasthan Royals and CSK to win no more than one match each.
In any of the above scenarios, Gujarat Titans, finishing with 16 points, could still qualify for IPL 2026 playoffs, provided the other team's results featuring Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals and CSK, go their way at the final stages of the IPL 2026.
