Gujarat Titans are on the verge of becoming the first team to seal an IPL 2026 playoffs spot. They are just one win away from getting the 'Q' beside their name after securing 18 points and a place in the knockout stage with authority.

KKR, however, poses a formidable challenge. Their spin attack has troubled opposition consistently this season, and hosting Shubman Gill’s men at Eden Gardens gives them the perfect opportunity to delay the Titans’ playoff confirmation.

Gujarat Titans doing the basics right will most probably seal their IPL 2026 playoffs spot. The way Gujarat Titans has operated, especially in the last five games, has been head-scratching if we see its basics, keeping things simple and playing according to their strengths.

Their top order has scored 66.48% of the runs, with now little contribution from the middle order, including Washington Sundar. But the platform more often than not needs their top order to build, and they will continue to do that to be successful.

What To Expect?

IPL returns to Eden Gardens after a small halt, as KKR now start to play all their final three games at home. The surface was a bit on the slower side last time they played here and is expected to be good for batters, but can still grip in a few spots.

The spinners will come into play early, especially for KKR, as pacers might go for more runs here. KKR has the equipment to stop GT, but they will need to improve their wicket-taking abilities in the powerplay; otherwise, GT could take this game home easily.
