GT creates unwanted IPL feat [Source: AP]
In the IPL 2026, the Gujarat Titans’ batting has been clinical, with their top three chipping in with the bulk of runs. The team is fighting for a place in the top two, and while their batters deserve some praise for it, a large chunk of credit should be given to GT’s deadly bowling attack as well.
In Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, and Rashid Khan, the Titans have assembled a fearsome bowling unit, with each of them capable of dismantling the opposition. However, in the IPL match against KKR, the opposition batters gave GT a reality check with brute-hitting.
The potent Gujarat attack was taken to the cleaners, and Shubman Gill’s fearless bowling troops entered an unwanted IPL feat.
Gujarat Titans concedes their highest-ever IPL total
On a lively wicket at the Eden Gardens, Shubman Gill decided to put KKR into bat after winning the toss. The decision paid off as Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed cheaply, but then came the Finn Allen storm.
The KKR opener went berserk as he smacked 93 off 35 balls, and shattered multiple T20 records. Once he was dismissed, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, and Cameron Green took over the mantle as they tore apart the GT bowling attack.
Raghuvanshi remained unbeaten at 82, and Green scored 52*, as the Knight Riders posted 247/2. Interestingly, this was the highest-ever IPL total conceded by Gujarat Titans.

What KKR batters did special vs GT bowlers
Statistically, GT has had the best bowling attack in the IPL 2026, and KKR batters needed to have an aggressive approach against them. Ajinkya Rahane struggled against them, but Allen was brave enough to take them down.
He never really allowed the GT bowlers to settle in as the right-handed batter tore them apart with utmost ease. The Titans had a sigh of relief as Allen was dismissed for 93, but Raghuvanshi and Green continued the same aggressive batting, and each boundary dented GT’s confidence.
Every batter that played tonight had a clear mindset: see the ball, and hit it, and that approach worked wonders for KKR.
