The stage is set for a riveting IPL 2026 contest as the Kolkata Knight Riders will take on the Gujarat Titans at the Eden Gardens. KKR has one foot out of the playoff race, and the Ajinkya Rahane-led side only has a slim chance to qualify for the next round.

It has been a turbulent IPL 2026 for the Knight Riders, as they have won 4 out of the 11 matches played, and they need to win their remaining three matches to have any shot of qualifying for the playoffs.

On the other hand, GT have been the complete opposite, winning 8 out of 12 matches, and have almost reached the IPL 2026 playoffs.

Gujarat Titans called it right during the coin flip and Shubman Gill had no hesitation in electing to bowl first. There is rain prediction during the match time, and Gill wants to have a clear target in his mind as DLS could come into play.

Gill stated that he wants to win the game, and secure the top two spot in the points tally. The visitors are going in with an unchanged XI.

On the other hand, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane, also wantd to bowl first, and he has made one key change, with Varun Chakaravarthy back in the playing XI after missing the last game due to an injury.
