England Release Squad For India T20Is

On Tuesday, April 28, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) released the England women’s squad for the upcoming white-ball series against New Zealand and India. For the unversed, the Three Lionesses will lock horns against the White Ferns for 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is, before squaring off against India for 3 T20Is.

There is a T20 World Cup 2026 starting on June 12, and before that, the Three Lionesses are all set to engage in a lot of T20 cricket. England women will face New Zealand in a white-ball series from May 10 to May 25. Three days later, the team will take on India for three T20Is from May 28.

Notably, it is the same squad that the ECB has named for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026. Nat Sciver-Brunt will lead the side. The England captain has played 137 T20Is, amassing 2960 runs and scalping 90 wickets for the English Women.

Also, Uncapped 18-year-old Surrey spinner Tilly Corteen-Coleman has been named in England squad.

Kira Chathli and Jodi Grewcock have been called up for England's ODI series against New Zealand, while the notable absentee is Tammy Beaumont.

Further, Sophia Dunkley, Charlie Dean and Danni Wyatt-Hodge will miss the series to manage their workloads ahead of the T20 World Cup which starts on June 12 in England.

Interestingly, it will be the 2nd time in less than a year that India will travel to England for a T20I series. The last time Harmanpreet Kaur-led side visited England, they registered a historic 3-2 win on away soil.
