The ECB has named a strong England squad for their upcoming five-match T20I home series against Team India. Harry Brook will continue to lead the national side, after guiding them into the semifinal of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.
The ECB selection committee also picked one uncapped all-rounder in the form of 22-year-old star and Sussex graduate James Coles in the England T20I squad vs India.
Harry Brook to lead, Buttler retained in England’s 17-player group
Yorkshire lad Harry Brook will continue to lead the England team in their upcoming five-match T20I series against Team India.
Legendary opener Jos Buttler, who underwent a below-par T20 World Cup 2026 in India earlier this year, also retained his place in the England T20I squad vs India.
Both Brook and Buttler are accompanied by fellow senior pros and star performers like ace spinner Adil Rashid, express paceman Jofra Archer, firebrand batter Tom Banton and dynamic all-rounder Sam Curran among others.

Young Jacob Bethell also found a place in the England T20I squad vs India, with Will Jacks, Phil Salt and Josh Tongue.
Jordan Cox, Sonny Baker and Saqib Mahmood have been recalled into the England T20I squad vs India after the trio missed the showpiece event in India a couple of months ago.
James Coles named as uncapped star, Carse and Overton miss out
Brydon Carse and Jamie Overton were both excluded from the England T20I squad Vs India owing to their respective injuries.
The ECB named one uncapped star in the form of Sussex all-rounder James Coles. The 22-year-old has so far played 71 T20 matches in his career, including 45 in Vitality T20 Blast competition and another 16 in ECB’s revolutionary The Hundred.
Coles also played a handful of matches for Sunrisers Eastern Cape during the SA20 2026 season earlier this year.
In 61 T20 innings, the explosive right-handed batter has scored 1,373 runs at a strike rate of 146.37, and has snared 53 wickets with the ball. Here is a look at England’s complete squad for the T20I series against India.

India to tour England for five T20Is
The Indian cricket team, under new captain Shreyas Iyer, will be touring England to play a series of five T20Is and three ODI matches. The T20I segment of the tour will mark the first 20-overs international assignment for both sides since the conclusion of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The series will be played between July 1 and July 11, with matches set to be hosted by Chester-le-Street, Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol and Southampton.
