Sai Sudharsan sledges Virat Kohli [Source: X]
As the Royal Challengers Bengaluru inched closer to lifting the IPL 2026 trophy, a fun yet interesting exchange between Virat Kohli and Sai Sudharsan grabbed attention on the eve of May 31.
As Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar were at the crease while chasing a target of 156 set by the Gujarat Titans, Sai Sudharsan attempted to sledge Kohli as a tit-for-tat response to what the RCB star had done to him earlier.
Though the moment did not escalate, the exchange between the two caught the internet's attention.
What Happened Between Virat Kohli and Sai Sudharsan?
For the unaware, after Shubman Gill's wicket during GT's innings, Kohli approached Sudharsan after almost every ball, and the stump mic caught parts of the conversation.
Kohli was heard saying that Sai was scared after the first wicket and that there was a lot of pressure on him as a GT opener.

Nevertheless, the frequent sledging appeared to have an effect as Sai mistimed a shot on the fourth ball of the fourth over and eventually got out for a single-digit score, missing the opportunity to make a significant contribution for his team.
Interestingly, this was not the first instance where Kohli sledged a GT batter. Earlier, during the group stage matches and the Playoffs as well, Kohli was found nagging Shubman Gill during his batting in a playful way to distract the skipper from playing his best game.
Sai Sudharsan Exacts Revenge On Virat Kohli
As Kohli continued the chase for RCB at a strike rate of 237.50 after eight overs, Sai was later seen walking up to him at the non-striker's end to exchange a few words.
Although it was unclear what exactly Virat Kohli and Sai said to each other, Sai's gestures seemed to indicate that he was hinting at a possible dismissal for Kohli.
Kohli, however, did not appear pleased with the conversation and chose to ignore it before returning to the non-striker's end to continue the chase.
The matter did not escalate, and the interaction appeared to be more friendly and playful than argumentative. However, it certainly provided a fun and entertaining moment for fans watching the contest.

Meanwhile, the Gujarat Titans endured a disappointing outing in the IPL 2026 final as Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill, and Jos Buttler, all three of their premier top-order batters, failed to make a major impact.
Only Washington Sundar stood out with a valuable 37-ball 50 that helped GT recover during the latter half of their innings.
RCB Bowlers For The Win
From RCB's bowling side, Rasikh Salam produced the best performance, claiming three wickets while conceding just 27 runs.
Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar also picked up two wickets each to keep the GT batters in check as RCB marched towards a comfortable victory at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
