Pakistan veteran Babar Azam's haters were given a solid thrashing by his Pakistan Super League 2026 teammate Aamir Jamal.

Jamal, who played under Babar for Peshawar Zalmi during the 2026 edition, pointed out the hate spread on the internet against the former Pakistan skipper.

While elaborating on how people gain followers and online clout by taking Babar Azam's name and criticising him on social media platforms like X, Jamal was particularly harsh towards the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Why Did Aamir Jamal Post Against Babar Azam’s Critics?

While there has been no proper context on why Jamal suddenly posted the aggressive tweet on his official handle on May 10, one of the primary reasons might be Babar sitting out of the Pakistan vs Bangladesh first Test match.

Babar was one of the core names expected to feature in the playing XI for Pakistan against Bangladesh in the May 8 Test match.

However, just ahead of the toss, skipper Shan Masood confirmed that Babar would not be participating due to an injury he suffered.

Later, the matter became more complicated as reports surfaced claiming that Babar was actually fit and that it was PCB chief selector Aaqib Javed's call to bench him and give youngsters Azan Awais and Abdullah Fazal a chance to play the first Test.

Nevertheless, this became fodder on the internet as people started criticizing Babar's Test form, which has been on the decline since 2023.

What Did Jamal Say About Babar's Haters?

Replying to those hateful comments, Aamir Jamal might have taken up the subject to criticise the former Pakistan skipper's haters.

“How to increase your @X reach? Talk shit about @babarazam258 Babar nay acha kia to tab b burai na kia to tab b burai,” Jamal wrote.

Later in the post, shared at 3:17 PM IST, Jamal even added that there are some people in the Pakistan Cricket Board who would not have been in a position to even beg if Babar Azam had not been there.

“Wesy #babar agar @TheRealPCB team men na hota to i was just thinking k some people wouldn’t be able to even #beg” Jamal added.

Relationship Between Aamir Jamal and Babar

Aamir Jamal has always been respectful towards Babar. Earlier, he was also found expressing deep respect for the player while calling him "King Babar" and expressing gratitude for playing under his leadership.

The all-rounder, however, was not very effective with his performances for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 2023. Scoring just 25 runs from the four matches he played, he managed to take only four wickets. He was also very expensive at an economy rate of 10.32.

Nevertheless, after taking a jab at Babar's haters, Aamir Jamal, who last featured for Pakistan in the Test squad in 2025, will wait for future call-ups, as the national team is currently playing in Bangladesh without Jamal's "King Babar."

How Pakistan Has Been Doing Without Babar?

Without Babar, Pakistan was not at its best, especially from the bowling side. Bangladesh piled up 413 runs in their first innings, while Pakistan only managed to post 386 on the board, courtesy of Azan Awais' 103-run knock.

There was also brief resistance from Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Rizwan with the bat. Given this situation, although Babar Azam was made to sit out of the first Test, there remains a possibility that he could return for the second Test for the Men in Green starting from May 16.
