Two days ago, David Warner was charged with a drink-and-drive case in Sydney, leaving his PSL 2026 participation in doubt. On Thursday, the veteran Australian opener, who is also the captain of Karachi Kings, cleared the air.
Karachi Kings will play Peshawar Zalmi on Thursday evening in Match 17 of PSL 2026 at National Bank Cricket Arena, Karachi. Ahead of the high-octane clash between the two sides, originally led by Babar Azam and David Warner, Karachi Kings got the clarity whether Warner would be there or not.
Will David Warner Play Karachi Kings Vs Peshawar Zalmi PSL 2026 Match?
Warner was given a break from PSL 2026, which is happening behind closed doors. Since Karachi Kings had no match for a while, Warner went home.
There, he drove his car twice the legal limit, which drew the attention of local police before he was arrested. Later on, he was taken to Maroubra Police Station.
Fans were worried about whether Warner, now 39, would return to Pakistan for PSL 2026. To break the silence, Pakistan media outlets have confirmed that he has joined the Karachi Kings camp.
However, it is still to be decided whether he would be included in Karachi Kings playing XI versus Peshawar Zalmi, keeping in mind his current state of mind as well as his fitness concerns.
