That's it from this game. We hope you enjoyed it. Both teams will move to Karachi for the remaining three ODIS. The third ODI is on Wednesday. Make sure you join us then and for all other cricketing action across the globe, stick around to our network. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain): "Definitely. As a captain happy to see everyone contributing and the boys are up for it. We are playing according to the situation of the game. The run rate and all. Fakhar built the innings and played one of the best innings from the other end. It was mind blowing from him. I think we gave away 20-30 runs extra to them. But we had the belief in chasing it down. Fakhar started it and we built important partnerships with him. I like that and happy with my knock in the situation. Happy to see all players step up. Looking forward to going to Karachi."
Tom Latham(New Zealand Captain): "Daryl delivered an exceptional performance during the match, and by the halfway point, we were feeling quite pleased. Fakhar deserves full credit for his outstanding performance as well. Although we had some dropped catches, which is a common occurrence in cricket, the opposition was able to establish and maintain several partnerships, which contributed to their success.

The team has excelled in the batting department, earning a big tick for their recent performances. Wickets here tend to be flat. Have to create more chances in the middle phases."

Fakhar Zaman (Player of the Match): "Thanks to the all mighty. Happy with my performance. I try to take my time in ODIS and then accelerate later. That's my template. See we have to practise to get better in technique and much is the same for me. So, I got lucky with two catches dropped. So, lucky to get 180. I get liberty when I play with Imam and Babar and so I can play my shots. Then Rizwan took over the baton and allowed me to play through the innings. Happy and chuffed about the innings so far. Hope to carry on the good work."
12:24 AM IST: Time for the post-match presentation.
12:07 AM IST: So, Mohammad Rizwan hits the winning runs once again as Pakistan wins this game by 7 wickets with 10 balls to spare. This is Pakistan's second highest successful chase in ODIS and they have Fakhar Zaman to thank for. A high scoring game here as Pakistan goes 2-0 up in this 5-match series.

Chasing a mammoth 337 for the win, it was the Fakhar Zaman show as he blazed away to another great innings and carried his bat. He was unbeaten on 180* off 144 balls. He got a few reprieves in the field and he made the most of it. Imam-ul-Haq chipped in with 24 at the top of the order. Skipper Babar Azam chipped in with 65 as he fell against the run of play. Debutant Shafique could not really trouble the scores. But the keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan held his nerve as he stayed unbeaten on 54* off 41 balls to steer his side home.

It was a hard day for the New Zealand bowlers as they looked ineffective on this flat track. A wicket apiece for Matt Henry, Henry Shipley and Ish Sodhi. But it was all in vain as the wicket and lack of ideas cost them. The fielding of New Zealand today was below par as the dropped catch of Fakhar Zaman cost them in the end.

Earlier in the game, New Zealand put into bat first by Babar Azam amassed 336/5 in 50 overs. It was once again the Daryl Mitchell show as he scored a majestic 129 off 119 balls as he notched up back-to-back 100s and his 3rd ODI hundred. He was ably supported by skipper Tom Latham who scored 98 off 85 balls. Chad Bowes scored his maiden ODI fifty as he scored 51 off 51 balls. Will Young scored 19 at the top of the order while Jimmy Neesham scored an unbeaten 17* off 15 balls to take the score to what looked like a challenging 336/5 in 50 overs.

Haris Rauf was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan although he went for plenty of runs. He finished with 4/78 in 10 overs. Naseem Shah was economical as usual and took a wicket. He finished with 1/49 in 10 overs. The rest of the bowlers went wicketless and went the distance as well.

So, Pakistan wins by 7 wickets with 10 balls to spare to take a 2-0 lead in the 5-match series as the caravan moves to Karachi for the remaining 3 ODIS. This is Pakistan's second highest successful chase in ODI history. Stick around for the presentations.
