The former India skipper and one of the modern-day batting greats in ODI, Rohit Sharma, has the rare record to his name, which no other batter achieved in the 55-year-long history of ODI cricket. The Indian batting stalwart is the only batter in the ODI history to smash three double centuries in the format. 

He smashed his first ODI double ton in 2013, scoring 209 runs off just 158 balls against Australia. Furthermore, Rohit scored the highest-ever ODI individual score, smashing an unbeaten 264 off 173 balls against Sri Lanka in 2014. 

Later in 2017, he scored his career’s third ODI double century, 208 runs off just 153 balls, and went unbeaten against SL. His record hasn’t been equalled or broken even after nine years since he achieved this feat.
