The former India leg-spinner, Amit Mishra, achieved one of the rarest bowling milestones in the history of the IPL. In the entire history of the tournament, he is the only bowler to claim three hat-tricks. He bagged his first hat-trick against the Deccan Chargers Hyderabad in 2008.

Interestingly, he claimed his second hat-trick while playing for the Deccan Chargers Hyderabad against the Kings XI Punjab (Now Punjab Kings). Later in 2013, he claimed his third IPL hat-trick while representing Sunrisers Hyderabad against Pune Warriors.

Though taking three hat-tricks is one of the rarest achievements in IPL, a few bowlers have claimed one or two hat-tricks. Therefore, here, we’ll have a look at the five bowlers who can equal Amit Mishra’s record of 3 IPL hat-tricks.

5 Bowlers Who Can Equal Amit Mishra's Record of 3 IPL Hattricks

Yuzvendra Chahal - Punjab Kings

Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the very few bowlers in the IPL history who have taken two or more hat-tricks. He claimed his first IPL hat-trick while playing for the Rajasthan Royals against KKR in IPL 2022. Furthermore, he picked his second hat-trick while playing for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2025.

The veteran PBKS leggie is just a hat-trick away from equalling Amit Mishra’s record of three IPL hat-tricks in the tournament’s history. Chahal might achieve this milestone in a season or two.

Rashid Khan - Gujarat Titans

The star Gujarat Titans spinner Rashid Khan is one of the most successful bowlers in the history of IPL. He has scalped 158 wickets in 136 innings of the 136 games he has played, including two four-wicket hauls. It also includes his hat-trick, which he claimed for the Gujarat Titans against KKR in IPL 2023.

On the spin-friendly tracks of India, Rashid Khan could be one of the lethal weapons in GT’s arsenal for the upcoming IPL season. He also has the ability to pick two more hat-tricks in IPL and join Amit Mishra with three hat-tricks.

Harshal Patel - Sunrisers Hyderabad

The former RCB pacer, Harshal Patel, was roped in by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025. While playing for RCB, he was one of the most successful bowlers and became the bowler to claim the most wickets in an IPL season, with 32 wickets in 15 innings in IPL 2021.

In the same 2021 edition, he claimed a hat-trick against the Mumbai Indians in the tournament’s 39th match. Looking at his wicket-taking ability in the powerplay and his bowling unplayable slower ones in the death overs, he could pick one or two hat-tricks in the future.

So, Harshal Patel might also equal the record of claiming three hat-tricks in the IPL history, sharing the spot with Amit Mishra.

Sunil Narine - KKR

The veteran KKR off-spinner, Sunil Narine, is the third-highest wicket-taker of all time in IPL since the tournament's inception in 2008. He has picked 192 wickets in 187 innings, with a decent economy rate of 6.79, including seven four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket haul.

Narine also registered his name among the bowlers with hat-tricks in IPL. He bagged his first IPL hat-trick while playing for KKR against Punjab Kings in IPL 2013. The Caribbean stalwart also has a chance in future to equal or surpass Amit Mishra in terms of three or more IPL hat-tricks.

Jasprit Bumrah - Mumbai Indians

The star speedster Jasprit Bumrah is one of the most successful pacers to have played for the five-time champions, the Mumbai Indians. He is MI's leading wicket-taker among bowlers who have played for the franchise throughout their IPL careers.

Bumrah has claimed 183 wickets in 145 innings of the 145 games he has played. He has scalped these wickets with a decent economy rate of 7.24, picking three four-wicket hauls and two five-wicket hauls. He also has eight maiden overs to his name.

Bumrah’s lethal bowling with the new ball and unplayable yorkers in the death overs are the weapons that could help him get the hat-tricks. He also has a knack for being the second bowler, after Amith Mishra, to claim three hat-tricks in IPL.
