When was the last time there was a buzz surrounding the debut of any player? At 15, while many kids watch cartoons and play gully cricket, Sooryavanshi has taken some of the best bowlers in the world to the cleaners in reality.

At this young age, kids go to school and dream of becoming a cricketer one day. Sooryavanshi is living that dream as he is sharing the Indian dressing room with icons and legends.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the sensation who has taken the game by storm

The left-handed batter from Samastipur first hogged the limelight when the Rajasthan Royals spent 1.10 crore to acquire his services before the IPL 2025 season. Eyebrows were raised and experts criticised the franchise for spending such a hefty amount of money on a 13-year-old boy.

However, two seasons into the IPL, and Sooryavanshi has taken the IPL by storm. In 2025, he only played seven games, but scored 252 runs, with a strike rate of 206.

The real Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was witnessed in IPL 2026, as he broke several records, swept away numerous records, and scored 776 runs in just 16 matches. As a result, the prodigal son earned his India senior call-up.

He has also been a star for India in List-A matches, smashing 564 runs in 13 matches, with a strike rate of 176.80, and the best score of 190 in the Under-19 World Cup final.

Sooryavanshi is currently India’s greatest asset, and interestingly, there are other cricketing nations that have players with extraordinary talent. Peake has peaked in List-A cricket and has also carved a name for himself in T20 cricket at just 19 years of age. In 2025, Peake continued to deliver the goods for Australia A, and in between his first and second first-class game for Victoria, the dashing batter had already played three FC games for Australia A.

In the Australia vs Pakistan series recently, he became Australia' fourth youngest debutant in ODI history.
