The excitement for the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) is rising as the tournament approaches. The 19th edition of the league will begin on March 28, 2026, and ten teams will compete for the prestigious title. Among them, LSG are preparing to make a strong comeback this season.

In the previous edition, the team had a challenging campaign. LSG finished in seventh position on the points table during IPL 2025. The team secured six wins and suffered eight defeats.

Moreover, four consecutive losses in the second half of the tournament affected their chances of reaching the playoffs. This result was disappointing, especially since the franchise had qualified for the playoffs in its first two seasons.

As the new season approaches, the franchise will rely on both experienced players and young talents. Let’s take a look at some uncapped LSG players who could have a breakout season in IPL 2026.

Uncapped players to watch out for LSG in IPL 2026

Ayush Badoni

At number one is Ayush Badoni, a player who has been closely associated with the franchise for several seasons. The young batter delivered impressive performances in the previous season and played several important innings for the team.

During the IPL 2025, Ayush Badoni scored 329 runs in 11 innings. In addition, he maintained a strike rate of 148.20 and an average of 32.90. These numbers clearly shows his ability to score quickly while also contributing valuable runs in the middle and final overs.

As a result of his strong performances, LSG decided to retain him before the auction for INR 4 crore. The franchise clearly views him as a dependable finisher who can handle pressure situations.

Furthermore, Badoni has been a consistent member of the LSG squad since 2022. His performances outside the IPL have also been encouraging. For instance, during the SMAT 2025 season, he scored 206 runs in 7 innings with a strike rate of 135.53.

Notably, the Delhi batter showed good form in the T20 World Cup Warm‑up Matches 2026 while playing for India A. During those matches, he scored 64 runs in 2 innings with a remarkable strike rate of 200.

Therefore, expectations are high for Badoni as the new season begins. If Ayush Badoni continues his current form, he could play an important role for LSG in IPL 2026.

Arshin Kulkarni

Another uncapped player who could make an impact this season is Arshin Kulkarni. The young all-rounder has shown promising performances in domestic cricket and has the ability to contribute with both bat and ball.

Notably, Giants retained Kulkarni for ₹30 lakh, which reflects the franchise’s belief in his potential. Although he has been associated with the team since IPL 2022, he has not received many opportunities to prove himself on the big stage.

So far, he has played only two innings for the franchise and scored 9 runs. These numbers may appear modest; however, his domestic record tells a different story.

During the SMAT 2025, Kulkarni scored 225 runs in 7 innings. Moreover, he maintained a strike rate of 129.31 and an average of 37.50, which indicates his ability to build innings while scoring at a good pace.

In addition, he performed well in the MPL 2025 season. During that tournament, the young star scored 279 runs in 9 innings with a strike rate of 125.68

Hence, if Kulkarni receives enough opportunities this season, he may finally showcase his true potential. IPL 2026 could turn out to be the breakthrough season that he has been waiting for.

Mukul Choudhary

The third uncapped player to watch is Mukul Choudhary. Notably, Giants purchased the Rajasthan wicketkeeper-batter for ₹2.6 crore during the IPL 2026 mini-auction held in Abu Dhabi.

So far, he has played 7 T20 matches, in which he has scored 210 runs. Along with that, he has maintained a strike rate of 165.35 and an average of 42.00. These numbers show his effectiveness as an attacking batter in the T20 format.

Moreover, Mukul has developed a reputation as a clean striker of the ball. His finishing skills were clearly visible in domestic tournaments, especially during matches in the SMAT 2025.

Therefore, if LSG provide him with opportunities in the playing eleven, Mukul Choudhary could become one of the surprise performers of the season.
