Manav Suthar enjoyed a dream start to his Test career as the young left-arm spinner produced a sensational performance against Afghanistan in New Chandigarh. Handed his debut cap, Suthar grabbed the opportunity with both hands and quickly became the biggest talking point of the one-off Test match.

After India declared their first innings on a massive 564/8 on Day 2, Afghanistan were left with a mountain to climb.   • Manav Suthar's six-wicket haul made him the first Indian bowler since Amit Mishra (5/71 vs Australia, Mohali, 2008) to claim a five-wicket haul in his debut Test innings.
