Whenever sledging happens on the cricket field, Australia are reminded of it the most, as they have the habit of provoking the opposition. Mohammed Siraj did exactly the same when India and Afghanistan were up against each other in Mullanpur during the only Test match between the sides.
It happened on Day 3 of the Test match between India and Afghanistan. Siraj was bowling towards Rahmat Shah during the 53rd over of Afghanistan’s innings. Just because Rahmat has the habit of playing the red ball slowly, Siraj tried to tease him by throwing the ball at him.
In response, Rahmat could only laugh at Siraj’s face, and so was Afghanistan head coach Richard Pybus, who could not hide his face while sitting in the dressing room.

Thankfully, it did not accelerate much on the field, and thus things calmed down in the very next over. Eventually, Rahmat Shah was cleaned up by Manav Suthar, who enjoyed an extraordinary Test with 6/33.
Siraj, meanwhile, did not get a single wicket in the innings, conceding 29 runs off his nine overs.
India, batting first, piled 564/8 before declaring the innings, with centuries from KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, two 81s from Sai Sudharsan and Rishabh Pant.

For Afghanistan, Mohammad Saleem Safi did the most of the damage, picking up six wickets.
India Enforce Follow-On Vs Afghanistan
Meanwhile, a follow-on has been enforced against Afghanistan, as India have a huge lead against Afghanistan. Riding on Suthar’s excellence, India folded Afghanistan for just 152.
While Rahmat Shah was by far Afghanistan’s best batter, having made 60 runs with nine fours and one six. For India, Prasidh Krishna and Washington Sundar were among the wickets, taking three and one scalps respectively.
At the point of writing this, Afghanistan openers Sediqullah Atal and Abdul Malik are in the middle, and Suthar, due to his stupendous first-innings performance, took the new ball in hand.

By country miles, Australia were the best side on the cricket field when Steve Waugh was their captain and Ricky Ponting became his successor. During that period, they seemed to be a bunch of gangsters ruling the cricket world, whether it was Test or ODIs.
Thanks to that, they won the 1999 World Cup, the 2003 World Cup and the 2007 World Cup, making a mockery of the cricket’s grandest competition. The courage was evident in their performance on the field, and the others used to fear them whenever they turned on the aggressive mode.
However, Australia are no longer the same side, as India, South Africa, New Zealand and England have stepped up their game with time.
