Adam Zampa journey in ODI cricket

Adam Zampa is one of the most prolific spin bowlers in the history of Australian cricket. Yet to play a single Test, the cricketer has bagged over 350 wickets across both white-ball formats.

He was part of the Australian side that lifted the 2021 T20 World Cup in the UAE and the 2023 ICC Men's ODI World Cup in India.

In ODIs alone, the cricketer has scalped 201 wickets in 123 innings at an impressive bowling average of 29.41, claiming 12 four-wicket hauls and one five-fer in the process.

At the moment, Zampa is Australia’s seventh most successful bowler of all time in terms of number of ODI wickets taken, and is their second-best spinner after the late Shane Warne.

With Warne concluding his career at 291 ODI wickets, the 34-year-old is well on his way to surpass the legendary leg-spinner to become Australia’s most successful spinner in ODIs by the time of his retirement.
