A major controversy broke out during a match between the RCB and SRH franchises in the ongoing IPL 2026 season. At one stage of the match, former RCB captain Virat Kohli was involved in a fiery exchange with SRH opener Travis Head.
Tensions even spilled into the customary post-match handshake between players, as Kohli refused to interact with Head.
As one can expect, a legion of Kohli fans abused the SRH opener online for his on-field spat with the legendary Indian batter. However, some RCB fans mistakenly spammed the social media account of American rapper Travis Scott in the process.
Travis Scott mistakenly targeted by Kohli fans
Ever since Virat Kohli’s verbal faceoff with Travis Head this IPL 2026 season, fans of the legendary RCB batter have been abusing the Australian cricketer on social media. However, some of those fans mistakenly targeted American rapper Travis Scott instead, flooding his social media accounts with abusive comments while confusing him with the Australian opener due to their shared first name.

While some fans warned the American rapper with abusive remarks, others shared GIFs of the Indian batting great in the comments section of his Instagram account. Here is a look at how Virat Kohli fans have spammed the Instagram comments section of Travis Scott.

What happened between Kohli and Head?
In match 67 of the IPL 2026 season a couple of days ago in Hyderabad, both Virat Kohli and Travis Head were involved in a heated interaction with each other during the earlier stages of the RCB run chase.
The incident occurred during the fourth over of the innings, when RCB opener Venkatesh Iyer was smacking SRH bowler Shivang Kumar all around the park. Amid Venkatesh’s onslaught, his opening partner Kohli was spotted by the cameras getting engaged in a conversation with Head right up close to each other.
A while later, the legendary RCB batter was even seen gesturing towards Travis Head in an aggressive manner. The Australian opener simply nodded his head at the time, as Kohli went about his business in the chase.
After the match, Virat Kohli even refused to shake hands with Travis Head during the customary handshake between the players.
SRH fans raid Kohli’s RCB
Since the faceoff between the two cricketers, SRH fans have also raided the comments section of the RCB franchise. In one of RCB’s recent uploads on Instagram, SRH fans posted GIFs of Head, Pat Cummins and a certain past instance of a quarrel between Kohli and Kieron Pollard.
Some fans even reminded the defending champions of SRH’s lone title victory, which occurred way back in 2016 after defeating RCB.
Conclusion
While rivalries and fan wars remain an inseparable part of modern sports culture, crossing the line into online abuse and targeting unrelated individuals only reflects the toxic side of fandom.
According to my humble opinion, passion for one’s favorite player should fuel healthy banter and not harassment directed at other players or fans of different teams.
