In the first T20I, the top order let Zimbabwe massively down as the top three players, Brian Bennett, Ben Curran and Dion Myers collectively scored 16 runs.
This is not something Zimbabwe expected, and it eventually cost them the game. However, due to a lack of better options on the bench, the hosts have no choice but to trust Bennett and Curran as openers.
