Travis Head Reveals His Take On Virat Kohli’s Handshake Snub
Travis Head spoke to Code Sports, where he revealed that there is no hard feelings with Virat Kohli. Head admitted that what happened that day is part and parcel of the game. The Australia batter also revealed that there is nothing to patch with Virat Kohli.
"I don't think there's anything to patch over. That's just that's what it is. That's yeah. No surprises with how the competition went or what went on. So as expected,” he remarked, speaking to CodeSports.
What Happened Between Virat Kohli And Travis Head?
The exact reason for the fallout is unknown, and there are only speculations floating on social media. The incident occurred during SRH vs RCB IPL 2026 match on May 22. It was a crucial match for both teams, more for SRH, because their qualification was on line.
SRH required to win big and got things right with the bat after the Men in Orange put 255 runs on the board. In reply, RCB only needed 182 runs on the board to secure a top-2 finish. The Rajat Patidar-led side had two options: either to win or go for the smaller target, and RCB chose the latter.

Virat Kohli scored 15 (11) and struggled to get going. Meanwhile, a clip went viral on social media, where the 37-year-old had a verbal altercation with Head and gestured for him to come to bowl. It seems that Head, too, might have said something to the Indian veteran, and things got heated between the two.
It was expected that the two players would leave the aggression on the field, but that was not the case. During the post-match ritual, Head approached Virat for a handshake, but Kohli just barged past the SRH opener.

A month ago, RCB opener Venkatesh Iyer also opened up on the controversy. A reporter got hold of him during Madhya Pradesh T20 League and sought details on the Virat Kohli-Travis Head controversy.
Venkatesh Iyer took a different route and refused to leak any details. He instead remarked that he was focused on his batting, which is why he couldn’t pay attention to the matter.
"I have no idea what happened. I'm only concerned about my role, which is to go out there and score runs. The more I focus on things that do not concern me, the more I lose out," remarked Venkatesh Iyer at that time.
