After winning two games on a trot, the Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on the bottom-dwellers Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, on Friday.
The one-time champions are coming off a clinical victory against Lucknow Super Giants, where Prasidh Krishna (4 for 28) and Ashok Sharma (2/32) laid the platform by restricting the opposition to 164/8.
Later in the chase, Sai Sudharsan was dismissed early on, but Jos Buttler (60) and Shubman Gill (56) took the team to the verge of victory, before Washington Sundar and Rahul Tewatia did the formalities.
As the Titans aim for a hat-trick of wins, let us look at the GT Playing XI vs KKR on Friday.
GT Playing XI vs KKR, IPL 2026, Match 25
Top Order: Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler
Last season, what was GT's biggest strength? Their top order! Although B Sai Sudharsan has played just played one good knock, skipper Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler were brilliant in their previous game.
The Titans will hope that Sudharsan is just one knock away from getting back to his prime best. Meanwhile, there will be no concern at all on Gill and Buttler's places in the GT Playing XI vs KKR.

Middle Order & All-Rounders: Washington Sundar, Rahul Tewatia, Shahrukh Khan, Jason Holder
Although Washington Sundar, the bowler, is not being used in the current Gujarat Playing XI, his returns as a batter have been nothing less than gold (or should I say silver in today's time). He has been able to finish off games and has played a fine hand in reviving the innings. His traits as an offie can be crucial in Ahmedabad.
The Titans have been banking massively on Rahul Tewatia, though he has been a mere shadow of his prime best since the last two seasons. Considering Tewatia finished the last game, GT won't drop him.
However, Shubman Gill and company might look past Glenn Phillips in the GT Playing XI vs KKR. He may not have had an opportunity vs KKR, either to bat or bowl; Jason Holder's inclusion in the GT Playing XI vs KKR becomes a must with Kagiso Rabada's poor form.
Shahrukh Khan will sometimes get out on zilch, but on his days, he will turn tables in GT's favour. Thus, he will surely be a part of the GT Playing XI vs KKR.
Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna
The Rashid Khan factor is back for the Gujarat Titans after a slow start. He might have taken just five wickets so far, but his economy rate is below 7. Moreover, his ability with the bat is second to none.
The trio of Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and Kagiso Rabada are one of the best going around in the IPL 2026. If you somehow get past one, the other and the next one will surely get you.
Each pacer of the three brings a different dimension to the GT Playing XI vs KKR, and then they have the 154.2-kmph king Ashok Sharma in their ranks, who would come in as the Impact Player in the Gujarat Playing XI vs KKR.
