A clinical game for Gujarat Titans and they jump to 8th spot on the points table with their second win on the bounce. Lucknow Super Giants were outplayed once again at home and need to improve their record to stay in the race for top four. Prasidh Krishna set it up with the ball with a four-wicket haul before half-centuries from Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler saw them home.
The action doesn't stop here today as another blockbuster game coming up. Mumbai Indians have won the toss at Wankhede and will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Switch tabs to follow our coverage of that fixture and plenty more.
For now, this is Ajay Pal Singh signing off on behalf of my colleagues Ninaad Dixit, Darpan Tikiya, Manish Bishnoi, Paras Yadav and Aman.
Prasidh Krishna (POTM): [On his bowling] I think the most important thing for us was the victory. As a team, we have been working really hard and doing a lot of things right. We are always trying to play the right brand of cricket. I think I am just here, taking the laurels of all the pressure built by other bowlers.
[On his method in each game] I would say it is a mixture of everything. I have played a lot, you also have lots of experience in the dressing room. Just make sure you pick everyone's brains and execute that on the field.
[On slower ones] Definitely a lot of practice and bowls a lot of those in the nets to feel good about it to bowl it in the game. A tired body but yeah, happy with the win, it takes care of everything."
Player of the Match: Prasidh Krishna
Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans Captain): "[Was it a complete peformance?] Yeah, for sure. The way we bowled in the powerplay was very impressive and how we kept the pressure in the middle overs was special.
[On Rashid Khan] Makes my life very easy. The way he is bowling at the moment, getting us back in the game. Gets the wicket, gets the dots and it is very hard to hit him.
[On Siraj bowling 3 on the trot] I think in the first six, it is very difficult to do the simple things. Because you might get much ahead in the game. You need to realise the simple things to stay in the moment. He kept his length and did the simple things to got us back in the game. The way Siraj bowled and even KG bowled well. A few inside edges that went for boundaries but that can happen.
[On the surface] Yeah, it was not easy. You know in the last 2 or 3 overs, we went for a little bit more. We gave 10 extra from where we were. At the start, we would have taken 160.
[On his own form] Yeah, happy. Back-to-back fifites for me and Jos, definitely good for us."
