One such incident unfolded during Thursday’s afternoon clash in Karachi, where Hyderabad Kingsmen faced RawalpindiZ. Hyderabad Kingsmen keeper-batter endured a horrible outing, falling into an unfortunate yet embarrassing record in PSL history.

In Match 24 of the ongoing PSL 2026, Hyderabad Kingsmen won the toss and elected to bowl first. And the decision proved right as they delivered a strong performance, restricting Rawalpindiz to just 121 for 9 in the first innings.

Chasing 122, Hyderabad Kingsmen got off to a shaky start, losing early wickets in the powerplay. Keeper-batter Usman Khan was forced to come in early at 4, with pressure mounting against a disciplined and aggressive new-ball spell.

Rawalpindiz remained relentless with the new ball, never allowing Usman Khan to settle or get off the mark. He eventually fell for an 8-ball duck, leaving Hyderabad Kingsmen struggling at 35 for 3 at the end of the powerplay.

From ECB Ban to PSL Setback: A Tough Phase for Usman Khan

It has been a tough phase for Usman Khan, whose career took a hit after he was banned for five years in 2024 by the Emirates Cricket Board for choosing to play for Pakistan instead of the UAE, with the board citing a breach of contract.

Coming back to the match, Hyderabad Kingsmen showed great resilience after the early setback.
