In match 13 of the PSL 2026 season, Quetta Gladiators will lock horns with Multan Sultans on Sunday, April 5. The match will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore at 7:30 PM IST.

Multan are seated at the third spot on the points table with four points in three games, while Gladiators slipped to 6th position after two losses. Hence, this game is crucial for both sides.

Quetta Gladiators vs Multan Sultans Preview

In the last game against Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators were trashed badly. The United chased down 184 runs in 18.2 overs with 8 wickets in hand. Sameer Minhas scored 82* off 48 balls while Shadab Khan contributed 69* off 39 balls.

This was the Gladiators' second loss in three games, which dropped them further down in the points table.

On the other hand, Multan Sultans suffered their first loss of the PSL 2026 season as Lahore Qalandars beat them by 20 runs in a rain-curtailed game.

Chasing a daunting total of 186, the Sultans could only manage 165 runs after Shan Masood went on a rampage to hit 44 off 18 balls. But it wasn’t enough. Overall, both teams will be fighting to get the winning momentum back.

Top Order - Saud Shakeel, Shamyl Hussain, Khawaj Nafay

Quetta Gladiators’ opening pair has consistently performed in the PSL 2026 season. Saud Shakeel is in form, as he scored 42 runs in the last game as well.

Shamyl Hussain is also putting up runs. But he has to convert those small starts into big scores to make it count.

As for Khawaja Nafay, he is becoming a liability. In 3 games, he has scored just 27 runs. For the kind of talent and skillset he has, the numbers certainly do not do justice. He has to get back in form to contribute to Quetta’s victories.

Middle Order - Hasan Nawaz, Rilee Rossouw, Ben McDermott, Tom Curran

Hasan Nawaz is the highest run-scorer of PSL 2026 so far, with 138 runs in 3 games. He is the glue that holds the batting order together, and he won’t be replaced at no. 4 with this form.

Quetta Gladiators dropped Rilee Rossouw for Bevon Jacobs in the last game. However, the move backfired as Jacobs was dismissed on a golden duck. Rossouw is an experienced batter with 2312 runs in 97 games in the PSL.

Benching him this early in the tournament is not a wise choice. Hence, he should be back in the playing XI.

As for the wicket-keeper role, Ben McDermott is the Gladiators’ first-choice option. His form is also problematic, but the team is currently lacking suitable alternatives.

Tom Curran has shown promise with 60 runs in 3 games. But his strike rate has dipped significantly. In the last game, he scored 29 off 22 balls, which hampered Quetta Gladiators’ final total.

Bowlers - Ahmed Daniyal, Alzarri Joseph, Abrar Ahmed, Usman Tariq

Fast bowler Ahmed Daniyal has picked up 5 wickets in 3 games so far in PSL 2026 with an impressive average of 18.20.

Alzarri Joseph is still struggling, picking up 3 wickets at a 33.33 average. He must contribute to and support Daniyal in the future.

Abrar Ahmed is Quetta Gladiators’ best bowler of the tournament so far with 6 wickets at a 14.50 average.

Usman Tariq, however, hasn’t lived up to the hype, managing to take just 2 wickets with a 45.00 economy. He was supposed to support Abrar, but that hasn’t happened so far.

Both spinners have to work in harmony for the Quetta Gladiators to see some success in the future.
