The three-time PSL winners, Islamabad United, will be back in action at the National Stadium, Karachi, on April 12, as they face the Hyderabad Kingsmen in Match 21 of PSL 2026 at 7:30 PM (IST).

The Islamabad United, under the captaincy of Shadab Khan, have started the tournament well, with three wins and a solitary loss this season. Their clash against the Peshawar Zalmi got abandoned without a ball being bowled. They are placed third on the table with 7 points to their name.

Since the start of PSL 2026, the teenage sensation Sameer Minhas has been their star batter, with two impressive fifties, accumulating 185 runs in 4 innings at a strike rate of 163.71. Captain Shadab Khan has been leading their unit with the ball, picking 7 wickets in 4 innings as the joint-third leading wicket-taker this season.

The Marnus Labuschagne-led outfit, Hyderabad Kingsmen, who were introduced to PSL this season, are yet to win any match, with four consecutive losses in four matches. They are just above the Rawalpindiz on the points table, with a net run-rate of -1.588.

Labuschagne is their top run-scorer with 84 runs in 4 innings, and Riley Meredith has picked 5 wickets in 3 innings as the best bowler ahead of their match against the United.

Top Order: Devon Conway (wk), Sameer Minhas, Mohammad Faiq

The Islamabad top order will be led by the in-form Sameer Minhas, who has scored two fifties for his 185 runs at a strike rate of 163.71 so far in PSL 2026. He will be accompanied by the experienced New Zealand opener Devon Conway, who has 109 runs in 4 innings at a strike rate of 123.86 and has a fifty to his name.

Number 3 bat, Mohammad Faiq, has scored 53 runs in two innings so far in PSL 2026, striking at 151.42 as another aggressive top-order batter in the team.

Middle Order and All Rounders: Haider Ali, Mark Chapman, Shadab Khan (c), Faheem Ashraf, Chris Green, Imad Wasim

The 25-year-old out-of-favour Pakistan batter, Haider Ali, will bat at 4. He has not gotten enough opportunity to bat in the tournament and has 39 runs in 2 innings, striking close to 140. The New Zealand left-hander, Mark Chapman, with 64 runs in 2 innings, striking at 228.57, will be slated at number 5 as a dynamic option, who can bat in various situations.

The three experienced Pakistan all-rounders will complete the lineup, with Shadab Khan playing as a floater, having scored 73 runs so far in PSL 2026 at 165.90. Faheem Ashraf, with over 2300 runs at a strike rate of 144 in T20s will add the finishing touches to the batting.

Shadab Khan and Faheem will have the company of the former Pakistan all-rounder, Imad Wasim, who is also a proven batter with close to 4500 T20 runs lower down the order.

The two frontline pacers will be the Englishman, Richard Gleeson and Salman Irshad. The 38-year-old Gleeson has picked 4 wickets in PSL 2026, conceding at just 5.81 runs per over, while Irshad has 5 wickets in 4 innings at a slightly higher economy rate of 10 runs per over.
