The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2027 season is still far away, but all ten teams have already started planning for the next campaign as several trade deals are on the line. The trade window has opened, and teams will analyse their squads before going after players from other franchises.

One high-profile trade that can go through in the coming few months is Hardik Pandya to CSK. The Super Kings are interested in acquiring the services of the Mumbai Indians skipper, and reportedly, Hardik is keen on the move.

Apart from Hardik, several other players are also in high demand and can make a move to a different franchise before IPL 2027. In this article, we take a look at the players who can change their teams and can potentially be traded to a different IPL franchise.

1) Ayush Mhatre spark IPL buzz with 5 teams

On Wednesday, reports emerged that at least five IPL franchises are interested in going after CSK star boy, Ayush Mhatre. The 19-year-old, in his short IPL career, has made a name for himself and has already become an integral member of the CSK team.

DC, SRH, LSG, GT, and MI are keen on having Mhatre in their team, as the Under-19 captain will be in hot demand in the next few months. Interestingly, CSK shouldn’t be interested in trading Mhatre as they see him as their future.

However, if an interesting offer arrives, then there could be a chance that CSK might be tempted to trade him to a different team.

2) Will Jacks to CSK

This one came in as a surprise as Will Jacks has become a key member of the Mumbai Indians team, but according to the latest report, CSK will also go after the Mumbai all-rounder alongside Hardik Pandya.

However, if CSK indeed run after the English player, there is a reason for it. Matthew Short underperformed for the Super Kings in IPL 2026, and was mostly injury-prone. The team needs a quality overseas all-rounder, and Jacks fits the bill perfectly.

He can bat anywhere in the top six, and can also chip in with four overs, as we witnessed in the T20 World Cup 2026, where he was the MVP of the tournament.

3) Yashasvi Jaiswal to MI

A few months back, Yashasvi Jaiswal was rumoured to join the Mumbai Indians, but that move never truly came to fruition. However, there is a good reason this move can take place in the near future.

Jaiswal is from Mumbai, and the team needs a long-term opener if Rohit Sharma retires after next season. Jaiswal can fill in that role and will be a solid replacement.

Also, after Sanju Samson’s departure from RR, Jaiswal was reportedly interested in getting the captaincy, but that role was given to Riyan Parag. Hence, MI could try to lure the local lad to their team.

4) R Sai Kishore to CSK

R Sai Kishore has mostly warmed the bench for the Gujarat Titans in recent seasons. A quality spin-bowler, he was reportedly rumoured to join the Chennai Super Kings in a trade deal.

The move makes sense as the Super Kings have been unable to replace the outgoing Ravindra Jadeja, and R Ashwin. Sai Kishore is from Chennai, and he knows the conditions at his fingertips.

He can bowl four overs in every game and can be a game-changer in the middle overs. Hence, this trade deal can still go through.
