KKR strongest XI Vs GT in IPL 2026 [Source: AFP]
KKR had a poor IPL mini auction strategy as the franchise had the highest purse of all the ten teams, but they created an average squad, and that has hampered their ongoing IPL 2026 season. Five games into the new campaign, and the Ajinkya Rahane-led side is yet to taste a single win.
KKR has only a solitary point in their bag, and that came in a rain-washed-out match, as the franchise now has to win most of their remaining games to stand a chance of qualifying for the playoffs.
Neither KKR’s batting has worked wonders, nor the bowling has delivered the goods, and barring Angkrish Raghuvanshi, no other batter has scored runs in the tournament. The side needs a revamp before their next IPL match against GT, and here's how they could lineup against the Titans.
KKR likely playing XI Vs GT- IPL Match 25
Openers and top order: Ajinkya Rahane, Tim Seifert, Angkrish Raghuvanshi
Once upon a time, KKR had a strong top order, consisting of Phil Salt, and Sunil Narine, but fast forward to 2026, and Ajiniya Rahane is not the most destructive opener in the IPL, and his partner, Finn Allen has failed to deliver the goods. In the last game, Rahane came at one down, but his best position is at the top, and he should bat there.
In five IPL matches, Allen has only scored 81 runs, with the highest score of 37. He failed in the last match against CSK, and perhaps time has come to replace him with Tim Seifert. The Kiwi batter has been warming the bench, and the management could bring him in to instill some confidence.
KKR’s best batter in IPL 2026, Raghuvanshi, will play at 3, and he’ll be eager to continue his dream start to the tournament as the side needs someone to steer them through in the competition.
Middle order and all-rounders: Cameron Green, Rinku Singh, Rovman Powell, Ramandeep Singh, Sunil Narine
The KKR middle order looks decent on paper, with the likes of Rinku Singh, Cameron Green, and Rovman Powell in the side, but interestingly, none of them have fired in the IPL 2026. Powell has been decent with his finishing abilities, but Green and Rinku have been disappointing.
Most of the KKR middle-order batters will be used as floaters, depending upon the situation, but most likely, Green would come in at 4, with Rinku at 5, and Powell coming in at 6 as a finisher.

Bowlers: Anukul Roy, Varun Chakaravarthy, Kartik Tyagi
Despite not performing in the IPL 2026, KKR have backed Anukul Roy across all five matches, and expect the same trend to continue against the Titans. The Gujarat Titans have plenty of right-handers in their top 6, and Anukul’s left-arm spin could be useful against them.
Varun Chakaravarthy is under severe pressure to deliver the goods. The mystery spinner has yet to take a wicket in the ongoing season, but against GT, he needs to deliver, since it could be his final chance to stamp his authority.
Kartik Tyagi has been KKR’s best pacer, and he has impressed everyone with his skill set. The right-arm pacer will start in the playing XI, and Vaibhav Arora will most likely come in as an impact sub if KKR bowls second.
KKR fans are eagerly waiting for Matheesha Pathirana, but the seamer has not arrived in India, and will not play in the next IPL match vs GT.
KKR predicted playing XI Vs GT- IPL 2026: Ajinkya Rahane(C), Tim Seifert, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Cameron Green, Rinku Singh, Rovman Powell, Ramandeep Singh, Sunil Narine, Anukul Roy, Varun Chakaravarthy, Kartik Tyagi.
