Arshdeep Singh IPL Wickets: A glance at his
Arshdeep Singh’s rapid rise is an interesting case study as India desperately needed a quality left-arm seamer at the international level, and the Punjab pacer’s consistency helped him earn an India call-up.
He was signed up by the Punjab Kings in 2019, and his breakthrough season came in 2021, when he picked up 18 wickets, with an economy of 8.27.
The seamer picked up 10 wickets in IPL 2022 and was called up to the Indian side. In the following three IPL seasons, he picked up 17, 19, and 21 wickets, respectively, as he became Punjab’s main man in the league.
Arshdeep's not so great start in IPL 2026
The left-arm pacer had a decent T20 World Cup campaign, and he headed into the IPL 2026 low on confidence. This reflected on his performance as he only grabbed 2 wickets in the first four matches, with an economy rate of more than 10 runs.
He missed his lines and lengths, and so far, has delivered 16 wides in five games, as the pacer has looked clueless on many occasions.
He got favourable bowling conditions against Mumbai Indians, and he instantly delivered with the wickets of Rickelton, and Suryakumar Yadav.
