After hours of rain delay, the much-awaited clash between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians kickstarted in Guwahati. The fans were excited to see 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi take on Jasprit Bumrah. 

For the unversed, as per the revised conditions, the game is reduced to 11 overs a side, only one bowler allowed to bowl three overs. At the toss, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to field first. However, the decision turned out to be a nightmare as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi wreaked havoc.

As mentioned above, the fans turned up in thousand to see whether Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who has taken the IPL 2026 by storm, will be able to spill magic against Jasprit Bumrah, argubally the greatest bowler in the modern era.

Much to everyone's surprise, Sooryavanshi was unfazed by the pressure and hit the MI seamer for two sixes. Interestingly, Jasprit Bumrah bowled the second ball of the over and was hit for a maximum on the first ball he bowled to the 15-year-old.

It was not the end as Sooryavanshi took a single on the second ball and returned to the strike to face the 4th ball of the over. New ball but same result as Sooryavanshi hit Bumrah for second six in the over.

Eventually, Sooryavanshi scored 39 (14), which featured a solitary four and five sixes. With his knock, he broke a plethora of records. Notably, it was 15-year-old's 4th 30+ score with a strike-rate of 250+. Only two players have done the feat more than him.
