LSG and RR had an intense face-off in the 32nd match of the IPL 2026 season. In the midst of this, tensions flared as Ravi Bishnoi decided to take a shade at Digvesh Rathi.
Rajasthan Royals, despite starting slow, reached 159/6 in the first innings after Ravindra Jadeja’s late contribution. However, LSG made a meal out of the target in the chase.
Ravi Bishnoi takes shade at Digvesh Rathi’s celebration
LSG saw an immediate collapse in the second innings as Ayush Badoni, Rishabh Pant and Aiden Markram were dismissed on a duck each. From 11/3, Nicholas Pooran and Himmat Singh tried to rebuild the innings.
However, Ravi Bishnoi got a breakthrough. He bowled a full-length delivery on the off stump to Himmat, but quicker than expected. Singh tried to step forward and hit a lofted shot but completely missed the ball.
The ball went on to hit the stumps, and Himmat Singh walked back on 15 runs off 15 balls as LSG lost their 5th wicket.
To further rub salt in LSG’s wounds, Ravi Bishnoi took a shade at Digvesh Rathi by copying his infamous notebook celebration.

Digvesh Rathi’s downfall in IPL 2026
Meanwhile, Digvesh Rathi hasn’t contributed much for LSG in the IPL 2026 season, as he has picked up just 3 wickets in 5 games so far. He burst onto the scene last year with raw mystery and confidence.
His variations, especially the carrom-style deliveries, troubled even established batters. However, his ‘notebook celebration’ completely shifted the narrative.
Rathi was fined multiple times by the IPL council for his aggressive celebration, yet he didn’t learn his lesson. A perception began to form that Rathi’s discipline was slipping.
And now, his brief downfall in the IPL 2026 season has only added to the narrative. For now, LSG will continue to back him. But his poor form will soon raise more questions.
LSG collapse to 119 vs Rajasthan Royals
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals beat the LSG by 40 runs in the 32nd match of the IPL 2026 season. After collapsing to 11/3 in a 160-run chase, LSG couldn’t recover. Mitchell Marsh was the lone warrior as he hit 55 off 41 balls.
Only Nicholas Pooran and Himmat Singh scored in double digits as LSG collapsed to just 119 runs in 18 overs. For Rajasthan Royals, Jofra Archer picked up 3 wickets, while Nandre Burger and Brijesh Sharma contributed with 2 wickets each.
The entire bowling unit of RR maintained an economy below 8, which was exactly what the team needed to defend that total.
With that win, RR climbed to the second spot on the points table with 10 points in 7 games. LSG, on the other hand, slipped to 9th spot with just 2 wins.
