In the ongoing IPL 2026 match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Virat Kohli returned to the pavilion after a rare bowled dismissal. The fans turned up in thousands at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati to see their idol in action.
After more than an hour of delay because of rain, RCB, batting first, lost Phil Salt on the first ball of the match. Virat Kohli too would have gone for a duck, but Riyan Parag’s error helped the former India captain get off the mark after an edge.
Virat Kohli Goes All Guns Blazing In Guwahati
Despite Phil Salt’s early wicket, Virat Kohli and RCB were unfazed and went all guns blazing. The right-handed batter returned to the pavilion after scoring 32 (16). He scored seven boundaries and maintained a strike rate of 200.
It was not a typical Virat Kohli knock as most of his runs came off edges through the off and leg side of the ground. Despite the innings, Kohli was in 91% control of his knock. Eventually, it took a magical delivery from Ravi Bishnoi to get the great man out.

Virat Kohli was eyeing a big total which is when Riyan Parag introduced Ravi Bishnoi in the 5th over of the match. On the 5th ball of the 5th over, Virat fell in Bishnoi's trick and missed the line of the ball.

The RCB star was stunned by the delivery as it rattled his furniture and returned to the pavillion disappointed. On the other hand, RR spinner was pumped up and roared like a lion as he knew he got the big fish out.
The entire crowd went silent while Riyan Parag was seen asking the crowd to make noise for the home crowd as most of the fans turned up wearing RCB jersies.

Ravi Bishnoi has been magical so far in the season. He is the current purple cap holder with 9 wickets in four innings. The right-arm seamer is having a magical season and is likely to be the first bowler to reach 10 wickets in IPL 2026.

Talking about his performance in IPL 2026, the 25-year-old started the tournament with a wicket against CSK. He followed it up with a four-wicket haul against Gujarat Titans.
In the last two matches, Bishnoi has taken couple of wickets, taking his overall tally to 9 wickets. Talking about the ongoing match, Bishnoi's spell has put RCB in trouble as the defending champions are reduced to 104/6 after 12 overs.
