Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) all-rounder Tim David showed no mercy against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday during Match 11 of IPL 2026 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. And it was Jamie Overton who was at the receiving end of it more than any other bowlers from Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side.

Overton conceded 30 runs in his last six balls, which was the 19th over of RCB’s record-breaking innings. Tim David smashed all of them, and the last shot, which he smashed, left everyone jaw-dropping.

Overton conceded only 12 runs off his first two overs. David welcomed him with a six, followed by a couple of runs. After that, the scorecard read 4, 6, 6, 6, with the last one going out of the Chinnaswamy stadium.

Tim David Six Lands On Chinnaswamy Roof

It was a short length delivery by Overton, who came around the wicket. David played it over deep square leg, and the ball went out of the Chinnaswamy Stadium after landing on its roof.

David too enjoyed the shot, as he was seen signalling six like an on-field umpire, and was bidding goodbye to the delivery in a fun mood.

Safe to say, it was the longest six of IPL 2026 so far, although the distance was yet to be revealed by the broadcaster and the officials.

Later, the broadcaster confirmed that it was a 106-metre six, the highest of the season.

RCB Finish With 250/3 Vs CSK

CSK’s IPL 2026 campaign turned bad to worse on Sunday evening. They had already lost two matches in two outings this season, forcing him to sit on the last place of the IPL points table.

And RCB showed no respect to CSK bowlers, smashing them all out of the park more often than not.

Virat Kohli and Philip Salt gave RCB the start they were looking for, and Devdutt Padikkal continued the momentum to keep on damaging the CSK bowlers.

RCB captain Rajat Patidar then went to the next level. He smashed 48 off 19 balls without losing his wicket.

Nevertheless, Tim David overshadowed him in the end. The Australian tall big-hitter smashed eight sixes in his 25-ball stay, of which three consecutive sixes came twice.

While Jamie Overton conceded once, it was Noor Ahmad who faced the similar thrashing earlier against David.

Eventually, David remained not out 70* off 25 balls, which had three fours as well.

CSK Batting Rapidly Despite Losing Wickets

Coming to the chase, CSK lost captain Ruturaj Gaikwad quickly. Sanju Samson could not stay longer either, while Ayush Mhatre, CSK’s last match hero with the bat, could only score 1 off three balls.

Sarfaraz Khan, meanwhile, made 50 off just 25 deliveries, which had eight fours and two sixes. CSK, at the time of writing this, 84/5 after 7 overs.
