Naman Dhir coming to rescue for Team India- it has become a pattern in the ongoing T20Is against New Zealand. For the Blackcaps, Finn Allen and Daryl Mitchell were teeing off the Indian bowlers, but Naman broke the partnership.

Arshdeep Singh entered history books by providing his team a maiden blood of the day in the his first over. But Allen and Mitchell went berserk during their 83-run stand for the second wicket.

During the ninth over of the innings, Finn Allen tried muscling Nitish Kumar Reddy over the fence at long-on. However, the all-rounder bowled a dipping yorker, and the attacking opener couldn’t get underneath the bounce.

Allen mistimed his shot towards long-on, but Naman Dhir had to cover a good distance to get underneath the ball. Although Naman couldn’t reach completely underneath the ball, he dived in front to pluck a low-hanging fruit.

Daryl Mitchell's blistering 89 helps Kiwis smash 198/3

However, Daryl Mitchell made it count during the IND vs NZ 3rd T20I.

As New Zealand posted their second-highest total of the series, Mitchell, batting at number three, became the second Kiwi batter to smash an unbeaten 89 runs against the Men in Blue.

Eventually, the hard-hitter finished with 102* off 52 balls, featuring five boundaries and as many biggies. He returned with his highest T20I score, missing his maiden ton by a whisker.

Mitchell’s unbeaten 75, with Bevon Jacobs's help, enabled the Blackcaps finish on 198/3. India needed to reach the target to win the five-match series.
