Arshdeep Singh reached a major milestone in T20I cricket, becoming the third pace bowler to reach the most wickets in the shortest format. The milestone came during the ongoing third T20I between India and New Zealand at Wellington on October 27, 2026.

The left-arm pacer is also close to becoming the first Indian bowler to take 150 T20I wickets.

Arshdeep Singh Removes Tim Seifert Early In Wellington

Arshdeep Singh began India's innings by dismissing Tim Seifert for just two runs. The wicket came when the New Zealand batter tried to hit a good-length delivery across the line.

The ball swung away from Tim Seifert, who cleared his front leg and attempted an aggressive shot. However, he failed to connect properly, and the ball went high into the air after taking the top edge.

Axar Patel moved into position at backward point and completed the catch despite the windy conditions.

The ball remained in the air for several seconds, making it difficult to judge its movement, but Axar Patel kept his eyes on it and held on safely.

The dismissal gave India an early breakthrough and continued Arshdeep’s impressive record against Seifert.

The Indian pacer had also dismissed the New Zealand opener in the previous match (IND vs NZ 2nd T20I) in a similar fashion and has an impressive record against the opener.

Arshdeep Singh has dismissed him four times in seven innings, conceding 43 runs at an average of 10.75 and a strike rate of 165.38.
