Australia Women’s skipper, Alyssa Healy, has finally called time on her 16-year-long glorious international career. Healy’s illustrious career came to an end with Australia’s memorable win against India Women in the one-off pink-ball Test.

It happened to be the 11th Women’s Test in Alyssa Healy’s international career. The moment turned emotional for Healy when her teammates performed a special gesture on her last day in international cricket. Earlier in the last ODI against India Women, Healy was given a guard of honour by the Indian players, in respect of her illustrious ODI career.

The senior team members, Ellyse Perry and Ashleigh Gardner, decided to sit down on their knees to lift the retiring legend, Alyssa Healy, on their shoulders. It all happened immediately after Australia Women defeated India Women by a massive margin of 10 wickets in the one-off pink-ball Test at the WACA in Perth.

Sophie Molineux to succeed Healy as captain across all formats
