His name was dragged into the media after former Ranji Trophy cricketer Rachit Bhatia reportedly revealed crucial information during an undercover sting operation. Taking to his Instagram account, Bedi has confirmed that the individual referred to by Bhatia is not him, despite several media reports linking the two cricketers without any basis or clarification from the young wicketkeeper-batter himself.Vansh Bedi threatens legal action over defamatory contentVansh Bedi has categorically denied allegations of match fixing after his name was linked with former Ranji Trophy cricketer Rachit Bhatia following the Tehelka sting operation.As per the sting operation, Bhatia reportedly claimed that he brokered valuable team information from a young player who has played for the CSK franchise in the IPL and also plays DPL cricket in Delhi. His comments prompted several fans and media reports to link Bedi to the allegations, considering the DPL star was one of the younger members of the CSK group during the IPL 2025 season last year. The Delhi-based wicketkeeper-batter has now himself broken his silence on the matter. I categorically state that I am not the individual referred to by Ex-Ranji Trophy cricketer Rachit Bhatia in the Tehelka sting operation concerning alleged match-fixing involving a CSK player, nor do I have any involvement whatsoever in any such activity.”Vansh Bedi also threatened to take legal action against those linking him to the match-fixing allegations.“Any attempt to falsely link me with these allegations is highly defamatory. My legal team is taking appropriate civil and criminal action against those responsible. I request everyone to refrain from creating or sharing such false and defamatory content."Vansh Bedi backed by DDCA and Vikrant GuptaWith several fans linking Vansh Bedi to serious match-fixing allegations without any evidence, the Delhi youngster has received much support from the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) as well as from prominent journalist Vikrant Gupta.After his name began circulating on media, the DDCA took note of the same, with association secretary Ashok Sharma defending the 23-year-old. Sharma even said that the youngster had reported a corrupt approach by a player in the UP T20 League to the Anti-Corruption wing. While speaking with the TOI, the DDCA secretary said “Vansh promptly reported a corrupt approach to the Anti-Corruption wing from a player from Uttar Pradesh, who was also playing a T20 league in the state. We have attached SLOs with every team this year and all our arrangements have been watertight.”Journalist Vikrant Gupta also claimed that Vansh had complained to the Anti-Corruption unit during his time with the CSK franchise in the IPL 2025 season.
