As discussions continued, cameras caught young opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi pushing his skipper away from the conversation, seemingly attempting to prevent the argument from escalating further.

The brief exchange quickly became one of the major talking points of the contest. With tensions running high after such a close finish, emotions were evident as India A players struggled to come to terms with the late call.

How The India A vs Sri Lanka A Match Unfolded Earlier

Earlier in the day, India A were asked to bat first and made a steady start before losing wickets at regular intervals. Sooryavanshi contributed 21 runs, but the visitors soon found themselves under pressure as Sri Lanka A tightened their grip on the contest.

India's innings appeared in trouble when they slipped to 143/7. At that stage, a total beyond 200 looked difficult, and Sri Lanka A seemed firmly in control of proceedings.

Suryansh Shedge and Vipraj Nigam then produced a crucial recovery. Nigam scored 51 from 48 deliveries, while Shedge played a brilliant knock of 72. Their partnership rescued India A and guided the side to a competitive total of 265.

Sri Lanka A responded positively through Niroshan Dickwella and Avishka Fernando. Although India A struck back with timely wickets, Sadeera Samarawickrama anchored the chase superbly and kept the hosts in the hunt throughout the innings.

Super Over Seals Sri Lanka A Victory

The match was eventually tied after Sri Lanka A finished level with India's score. Arshad Khan dismissed Samarawickrama for 93 in the final over, but the hosts managed enough runs to force a Super Over.

Sri Lanka A batted first in the tiebreaker and reached 16 after a crucial six from Avishka Fernando and the controversial no-ball on the final delivery. The extra ball proved valuable in a contest decided by fine margins.

India A required 17 runs to win and opened with Sooryavanshi and Shedge. Despite a boundary from the teenage batter, the chase never gained momentum. India A managed only nine runs in reply as Sri Lanka A sealed victory in a dramatic finish.
