Pakistan Under-19 players overcame their English setback from a couple of days ago by thrashing Scotland in match number 12 of the 2026 ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup. The outcome marked Pakistan’s first win of the tournament, with fast bowler Ali Raza and left-arm spinner Momin Qamar hogging the limelight with the ball.

Here, we take a look at the entire highlights from the 12th match of the 2026 ICC Under-19 World Cup between Pakistan U19 and Scotland U19, as it panned out at the Takashinga Sports Club in Harare on Monday, January 19.

Ali Raza, Momin Qamar skittle Scotland U19 for just 187

Winning the toss and opting to field first, Pakistan captain Farhan Yousaf’s call was instantly justified by his new ball paceman Ali Raza. The young fast bowler removed Scotland opener Theo Robinson as well as number three Max Chaplin in the first over of the match. Rory Grant at number four spent 45 deliveries at the crease to score 21, and fellow middle-order batter Finlay Carter struck a couple of confident boundaries in his 12 before both well-set batters were toppled by left-arm spinner Momin Qamar in quick succession.

Tottering at 75-4, Scotland captain Thomas Knight punched out a fighting 37 from 72 balls and steered his side past the 100-run mark with Ollie Jones (30 off 35). As Knight and Jones were gaining some momentum during the middle overs of the Scotland innings, both cricketers got knocked over by Momin Qamar (3-46) and Ali Raza respectively in the space of just five deliveries.

Finlay Jones (33 off 56) and Manu Saraswat (25 off 36) subsequently crafted 58 runs for the seventh wicket to notch up the lone 50-plus partnership of the Scotland innings. However, the Scottish tail failed to sustain their newfound momentum, as they folded up for just 187 in 48.1 overs.

For Pakistan U19, Ali Raza struck in his return spell with the wicket of Jones to claim sensational figures of 4-37. Abdul Subhan (2-36) mopped up the Scotland tail with two wickets in successive deliveries.

Usman Khan and Ahmed Hussain ensure smooth sailing for Pakistan

Chasing 188, Pakistan U19 openers Ali Baloch (15 off 33) and Sameer Minhas (28 off 30) started off with a couple of confident boundaries to race to a 43-run opening partnership around the first nine overs. Scotland fast bowler Ollie Jones landed the opening punch for his side with the wickets of both openers in quick succession.

Still comfortably placed at 48-2, Pakistan number three Usman Khan shared a match-defining 111-run partnership with Ahmed Hussain to douse Scotland’s dwindling hopes. Usman himself compiled 75 runs off 85 balls with five fours and two huge sixes, and Hussain bode his time with a cautious 47 from 92 balls before both cricketers were dismissed by Manu Saraswat (2-42) at the brink of the finishing line.

Captain Farhan Yousaf and Huzaifa Ahsan eventually notched up the winning runs together for Pakistan U19 with six wickets and more than six overs intact in the game.
